The Tiger Academy is a program that focuses largely on skill development while working in a less competitive environment compared to the New Richmond Soccer Club. This is a great program for new players or players who aren’t quite ready to make that commitment to a longer season or want to give soccer a try to see if they like the sport. Players will develop their fundamental soccer skills through fun games, drills and small sided games. Players will be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate way. We are making some program adjustments based off the feedback from parents from last season.

Our PreK group will focus on learning the basic skills of soccer and playing games with their coaches. Players will be divided into co-ed groups for the season.

All players participating in the program receive a Tiger Academy shirt with registration. Participants provide shorts, shin guards, cleats/tennis shoes, a soccer ball and a water bottle. Practices and games will be held on Sunday evenings at the High School Stadium turf field.

Parents will be asked to watch from the bleachers. No chairs are allowed on the turf field.

Coaches for this program will be members of the boys high school soccer team. We are looking for parent volunteers to help with each team. Let us know if you want to help out. Training is provided for all interested parents. You don’t have to know anything about soccer. If you have a desire to help out we will provide you everything you need to know.

This program is a collaboration between Community Education and the New Richmond Boys Soccer programs.
